The Gift of Gemini
I rose through the fog, a ghost in the light,
Dizzy with silence, with shadows in sight.
The world did not pause, nor soften its pace—
So I walked with the blur, wore strength on my face.
The pool sang with echoes of children set free,
While kindness appeared in the shape of a drink for me.
Coca-Cola fizzed like a charm on my lips,
A small sacred spell in a bottle’s eclipse.
The garden called faintly, with tamarind dreams,
But fate had rerouted today’s quiet themes.
Through laughter and longing, in pet store glow,
Two daughters and I let our heart rivers flow.
A whisper, a mewl, soft fur, tiny cries—
A kitten with galaxies pooled in his eyes.
I named him Gemini, child of the skies,
A mirror of duality, curious and wise.
We came home with stars still clinging like lace,
Letting our new little souls find their space.
Now in the hush, I still feel the spin—
But sugar and softness bloom deep within.
So dizzy I was, and sleepy I stayed,
But love was the thread in the pattern today.
Not all sweetness is tasted upon the tongue—
Some is curled in your lap, where new magic is sprung.
