The Orchard’s Heat

The sun carved rivers down my spine,

Yet still I rose, still I gave.

In the garden’s hush, the trees replied—

Not with words, but with waves

Of fruit and dripping grace.

The cherries cupped my palm in trust,

The tamarind overflowed its throne.

I bowed to branches crowned in dust,

And knew I was not alone.
